VALMORE R. FRANQUIZ, is graduated from The Industrial Chemical School of Caracas, Venezuela, in 1973. Graduated of BS from Louisiana State University, LA, USA., in Food Science, in 1979. Post graduate studies in Food Technology and Food Biochemistry at CIEPE, Venezuela, in 1981-83. Many technical courses in different institutions of South America and North America. Teaching experience in University Technical Schools and other University institutions and companies. He is a Certified Petroleum Inspector.

        He had been worked in some multinational corporations (Mobil Oil Company, Merck AG, Bayer AG, Ralston-Purina, and Nabisco International), in different managerial positions in the departments of: Quality, Production, Environmental Health, R&D, and others, in the years 1981-1997. He founded a technical and management consulting company : VALFRAN, srl, specialized in Quality System Audits and ISO 9000 in Chemical and Food industries. In 1998, he did ingress to the Maritime Industry as Auditor and Consultant of maritime cargoes (shipments) of amimal stuff from Ralston-Purina at three Venezuelan ports. Then, in 1999, he founded VF TEAM, C.A., company of maritime surveyors and port services, dedicated to give logistics support to loading and discharging bulk-carriers, containers ships and tankers, it included services of maritime surveying, warehousing and land transportation logistics for fertilizers and food stuff to different chemical and food companies.

• Managing professional and non-professional personnel.

• Vessel c/o Ship Inspections: Bulk-carriers, Tankers, Containers.

• Vessels and barges Draught Surveys and Bunker Surveys.

• Fast response to Ship Owners, P&I Clubs, Insurance companies and Charterers, and any related Maritime Industry company.

• Claims, Adjusments and Legal Affairs.

• Hire on/off surveys, damage surveys, tie down inspections, marine custody transfer, petroleum measurement, loss control, claims and recovery (ship/shore). Warehouse surveys, storage assessment / suitability.

Valmore R. Franquiz is bilingual, fluently in English and Spanish. He is an U.S.A. Naturalized Citizen.

He has written three practical books related to Vessel Draught Surveys.
